'Cisco' is one of the biggest technology companies on the planet, and just like Microsoft, it's a market leader. Each and every year Cisco's research & development investment on it's own amounts to approximately $5b. Engineering technology from Cisco underpins the whole web. The Cisco brand is understood to be accountable for more than seventy percent of all networking hardware. Unsurprisingly therefore, anybody looking to build a career to do with networking hardware should refer to Cisco. Cisco also owns a number of trading-arms which necessarily permeate the 'Security', VOIP (Voice Over IP) Communications and Wireless-Data (or Wi-Fi) areas - as they gain more commercial relevance.

To get a very broad-based combined training program you could add MSCA or 'MCSE' from MS to your 'CompTIA' A+/Network+ & Cisco 'CCNA' package. The CCNA examination (640-802) is broken down into its two component parts: The 'ICND1' (640/822), & the 'ICND2' (640/816). ICND is short for Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, although the ICND1 exam is often known as CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician). Although all of this can appear to be a mouthful (as often seems the truth with I.T. acronyms,) the easiest way to take this certification is as the blended CCNA (640-802) examination. An excellent career training track for 'Cisco' entrants would be a blended package starting with 'CompTIA A+' , followed by CompTIA N+ and then the rather more advanced 'Cisco' 'CCNA'. Anticipate putting in approximately four to five hundred hrs of study (approx 12 months part-time) to complete a track of this type. In common with all of the technical IT training courses, ensure you pick one that offers twenty four hour real-time connection to tutor assistance, to problem-solve any training challenges that arise. Include complete multi-media tutorial training, and a good exam-preparation program & you'll be prepared for success.

No surprise then that a great amount of qualification programs have been introduced by 'Cisco' to handle the myriad of patents and technologies it supplies. The answer then is to use Cisco-approved network 'simulators' and 'visualisers'. Such state-of-the-art software systems allow trainees to build large 'networks' in a virtual environment , using on screen options to pick particular hardware products & practice 'interrogation' of data-movement. Software of this nature is precisely what splits training programs apart - it is not a good idea to consider any 'Cisco' training that does not incorporate it.
